2 Water Fountains with Filtered Water Bottle-Filling Station - Chilled
Right now the Howard Performing Arts Center is focusing on raising money for a Water Fountain with Filtered Water Bottle-Filling Station.
The Howard Performing Arts Center hosts numerous students and guests each week, whether attending concerts or participating in rehearsals and performances, or attending church on Saturdays. We would like to improve and provide easily accessible drinking water for performers, students, or patrons. Our current drinking fountains are about 20 years old and have had issues working efficiently.
Installing a modern water fountain with a built-in filtered bottle-filling station would address a vital and ongoing need at the Howard Performing Arts Center. Students—many of whom attend rehearsals four to five times per week—regularly bring reusable water bottles but have no convenient or efficient way to refill them. The current fountains have low water pressure and require bottles to be tilted at awkward angles, making them impractical for regular use. A bottle-filling station would provide clean, cool drinking water not only for our students, but also for guest performers, faculty, and audience members, enhancing both comfort and sustainability within our facility.
This small investment would promote sustainability, reduce reliance on single-use plastic bottles, and directly support the health and performance of our students and visiting artists. A bottle-filling station is a practical, cost-effective upgrade that aligns with our commitment to student well-being and hospitality.
